FROSPI front mirror

The now mandatory blind spot mirror shows the blind spot on the right side next to the vehicle. However, most of the blind spot accidents happen beween trucks and cyclists whostand on the right side in front of the truck.

Broad field of vision

The Dutch SWOV-Report from 2006 does advice to install a front mirror or front camera. The new additional front mirror or front camera offers a broad field of vision and shows the blind spot in front of the truck. In the Netherlands all new trucks over 7.5 tonnes should be equiped with an additional front mirror from 1th of Januar 2007 on.
